EdgeCut 

Co-curator

EdgeCut is a monthly performance series, co-curated by Heidi Bosivert and Kat Mustatea, that first convened in January 2020 at NEW INC, the art, tech and design incubator at The New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York. The series presents short works of live performance that explore our complex relationship to the digital—looking at the many ways interactivity, games, robotics, wearables, AI and other digital technologies inform new practices in live performance. Under lockdown,  the series experimented with how to translate intimate in-person events into interactive experiences within a 3D virtual environment, in partnership with the 3D platform Nowhere. Edgecut now focuses on how to evoke liveness, embodiment, and intimacy within virtual spaces. Currently, Edgecut is partnered with New York Live Arts to present both virtual and in-person live events, as well as intriguing hybrids of the two.
